The Tactile House

Guided by the principles of wabi-sabi, The Tactile House is an exploration of organic textures and intentional contrasts. The design steps away from highly polished finishes, finding a deeper sense of luxury in raw, elemental materials that visually ground the home. The living spaces are anchored by the extensive use of microcement, its subtle, hand-troweled imperfections bringing warmth and movement to the walls. This raw concrete texture is sharply contrasted against the precise, rhythmic vertical lines of bespoke timber joinery, creating a delicate balance between the organic and the engineered. The result is a deeply calming sanctuary—a tactile environment that feels minimalist yet rich, designed to age beautifully over time.
